Born in Menoufia Governorate, 1963. Graduated from the Graphic Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Cairo, with honors. Professor & Head of the Graphic Department and Former elected Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Minya Obtained a mission to Germany from 1995 to 1997 to complete his PhD studies at the University of Erfurt - Germany. studied lithography extensively at the same university, and studied manual paper and its pulp . He had participated in many local & international arbitration committee. the most important of which is a founding member of the China Art Edition Association 2016.

Afaf Mekarim is an accomplished architectural engineer and artist who transformed her lifelong passion for creativity into a remarkable second career in the arts. Member of the Artists and Writers Group at Atelier Cairo. - Nominated for a month to participate in the Naples Biennale in Italy in 1996. - Obtained an internal scholarship for the doctoral stage from 2000 to 2005. - Received a two-year grant to compile scientific material in the field of mural art for the doctoral stage from the Faculty of Arts and Education, University of Siegen, Germany. - Obtained a two-year scholarship to study graphic art at the studio of the German artist Daniel Heiss, a professor at the Faculty of Arts and Education, University of Siegen in 2002. - Received a scholarship for the professorship stage in mural painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Murcia, Spain in 2015. - Received numerous artistic grants from the Cultural Palaces Authority and the Cultural Development Fund. - He has many scientific and practical research papers and publications in the field of visual arts. - Supervises many academic scientific research projects for a group of researchers. - Participates in the visual art movement since 1991 to the present.
