Riham El-Shamy, an Egyptian artist residing in Algeria, graduated from the École des arts de" M.Larbaâ" (Algeria). She has participated in numerous art exhibitions across the Arab world and beyond, including group shows as well as her own solo exhibitions titled Tabat we Nabat, Atabet el Setat, Memory of a Nation, and Egyptian Songs. Her work draws inspiration from Arab—particularly Egyptian—heritage, presenting it in a satirical form infused with the sense of humor that distinguishes the Egyptian character. Riham believes that a painting is the most eloquent storyteller, needing no words to narrate its tale; it takes the viewer on a journey through worlds that may be mythical or real, yet now live only in memory.
